கொன்று அன்ன இன்னா செயினும் = தமக்கு முன் ஒரு நன்மை செய்தவர் பின் கொன்றால் ஒத்த இன்னாதவற்றைச் செய்தாராயினும்; அவர் செய்த நன்று ஒன்று உள்ளக் கெடும் = அவை எல்லாம் அவர் செய்த நன்மை ஒன்றினையும் நினைக்க இல்லை ஆம். (தினைத்துணை பனைத்துணையாகக் கொள்ளப்படுதலின் அவ்வொன்றுமே அவற்றை எல்லாம் கெடுக்கும் என்பதாம்.)
