துஞ்சுங்கால் தோள்மேலர் ஆகி= என்நெஞ்சு விடாது உறைகின்ற காதலர் யான் துஞ்சும்பொழுது வந்து என் தோள்மேலராய்; விழிக்குங்கால் விரைந்து நெஞ்சத்தராவர்= பின் விழிக்கும்பொழுது, விரைந்து பழைய நெஞ்சின்கண்ணராவர், எ-று.

While she sleeps, Parimelazhagar explains, the lover comes in dream and rests upon her shoulders; when she wakes he does not vanish but hurries into her heart and becomes its dweller. So between sleep and waking there is not a single moment when he parts from her.
