not seeing; preventing awareness
An adjectival form qualifying ciṉattāṉ. Parimelazhagar describes anger that causes failure to know oneself and others.
one possessed by anger
Not momentary anger, but rage governing awareness of self and others. Justified anger is not condemned.
exceeding measure and continuing to grow
Qualifies kāmattāṉ: kaḻi adds excess beyond measure and perum adds continuing enlargement.
one possessed by strong desire
Here kāmam is broad appetite or craving, not only sexuality; ordinary desire and affection are not demeaned.
not cherishing; here, taking up hostility
Parimelazhagar contextually reads it as hostility toward them. It is not a verdict that anyone is unworthy of care.
to cherish or deliberately choose
With paṭum it forms a passive: such hostility comes to be deliberately chosen. This grants no permission to harm.
comes to be; is made subject to
Completes the passive pēṇappaṭum, foregrounding the resulting status rather than naming the actor.

How to read the romanization
ā · ī · ū · ē · ō — hold these vowels longer than a, i, u, e, o.
ḻ (ழ) — a distinctive curled Tamil sound, often written “zh”.
ṟ (ற) — a crisp Tamil alveolar sound; doubled ṟṟ is held more strongly.
ṉ (ன்) — the lighter n heard at the end of words such as pakavaṉ.
Doubled consonants are held or strengthened. Romanization is a reading aid; the audio and Tamil script remain the best guides.

unseeing · anger-possessor · exceeding-growing · desire-possessor · non-cherishing · will-be-cherished
The first unit names rage that obscures awareness. The second adds desire growing beyond measure. The final two words form a turn: hostility toward such a person will itself be willingly chosen.
He possesses awareness-blinding rage and ever-growing excessive desire; hostility toward him will be willingly chosen.
The verse combines exactly two defects. First, rage obscures awareness of oneself, other people, and relevant facts. Second, desire refuses a stopping point and keeps growing beyond measure. Together they make opposition seem strategically attractive. This never means anyone deserves harm; a wrongdoer remains responsible. Visual disability, justified anger, sexuality, mental-health symptoms, treatment needs, and healthy ambition are not these two defects.
Grammar that unlocks the line
Kāṇāc qualifies anger as awareness-blocking; kaḻiperum qualifies desire as excessive and growing. The possessive ending -ttāṉ marks one characterized by each.
Pēṇāmai contextually names hostility; pēṇappaṭum turns it into a passive conclusion: that hostility will be willingly chosen.
