உடற்கின்பம் மக்கள் மெய் தீண்டல் = ஒருவன் மெய்க்கு இன்பமாவது மக்களது மெய்யைத் தீண்டுதல்; செவிக்கு இன்பம் அவர் சொல் கேட்டல் = செவிக்கு இன்பமாவது அவரது சொல்லைக் கேட்டல். (மக்களது மழலைச் சொல்லேயன்றி அவர் கற்றறிவுடையராய்ச் சொல்லுஞ் சொல்லும் இன்பமாகலின், பொதுப்படச் சொல் என்றார்.)
