இடுக்கண் வருங்கா னகுக வதனை
யடுத்தூர்வ தஃதொப்ப தில்.
“Smile, with patient, hopeful heart, in troublous hour; / Meet and so vanquish grief; nothing hath equal power.”
வெள்ளத் தனைய விடும்பை யறிவுடையா
னுள்ளத்தி னுள்ளக் கெடும்.

இடும்பைக் கிடும்பை படுப்ப ரிடும்பைக்
